thunder and lightning

Well you cant shoot thunder but I did capture some lightning during a storm earlier this month. I have no clue how to photograph such awesomeness so any tips would be appreciated. Feel free to post up your examples as well. :cool:

No real technique. Just set the shutter anywhere from 15-30 seconds, aim, fire, and pray for a lightning strike. I missed out on a lot of strikes when the camera was busy processing or the action was out of frame.

Some people use two cameras to cover the processing time. |

dam that is nice, may I ask what camera. I've always wondered how people was able to photograph that type of stuff, i always thought it was cool.

J, I was using a Nikon D70 with a 70-300. The first shot I might of been using the 18-50 with the screen door closed. :doh: :lmao: |
