Default TRADE or BUY my 1992 Civic CX hybrid (low miles)

I bought the car off of a H-T.com member, "Mike K" last June off of the boards. He worked at Acura in Naples, FL and purchased a lot of new parts from Acura. Since, I have done suspension work and weight reduction to make it even faster.

First, the registration is paid up to $284 with DMV (CA buyers only). You are already saving money.

Smog Information:

Now, this car will not pass CA smog at this time. I have talked with DMV and the Bureau of Auto Repair and the only option is to:
[ul]
[li]Continue to get 2 month extentions on registrations (as good as your excuses are)[/li]
[li]Fix the existing issues, mainly the ECU being OBD 1 (I will provide the CA referee document list)[/li]
[li]"Know someone" who will pass the car for you "as is"[/li]
[li]Swap a stock motor into the car, smog it, then swap the hybrid motor back in[/li]
[/ul]
If you are not in CA, then check with your local DMV to find out what will pass. Many states will probably be fine.

Selling Information:
[ul]
[li]$9,000 obo "as is"[/li]
[li]$7,800 obo without the Zeal S6 suspension and F/R camber[/li]
[li]$7,300 obo without the Zeal S6, F/R camber, Type-1 battery and Miata Wheels[/li]
[/ul]
Replacement parts are GSR/ITR suspension, OEM camber, Acura battery, OEM 13" steel wheels where applicable.

Trading Information:

Trade your car and your cash, even trade or my car and my cash for your car.
Cars I would be interesed in are the following:
[ul]
[li]1994+ Acura Integra[/li]
[li]1992+ Honda Prelude (prefer 1997+)[/li]
[li]1992-2002 Honda Civic[/li]
[li]Other nice cars that are not Honda/Acura[/li]
[/ul]
Note: I will take almost any car if you are paying the difference (for example, your POS and 80% cash)

Performance Perspective:

Here is what the car can do:
[ul]
[li]Dynojet chassis tested at 168.8hp@8200rpm, 114.1tq@6600rpm (see pic below)[/li]
[li]Engine dyno tested at 197.2 flywheel hp@8175rpm, 133.7 flywheel tq@6650rpm[/li]
[/ul]
I have not run it at the track personally, here is what the previous owner, Mike K, said “Not sure about 1/4 miles, but it runs consistent 9.1's in the 1/8th mile, with my best being a 9.02@80.1mph. I got a 2.20 60ft that run.” “So it's a low low 14 second car, high 13s with a better, and lighter driver. (I am 230lbs, so the hatch is back to stock wieght with me in it, LOL)”

So…the car weighed 2194lbs at that point…it now weighs 2020lbs. Plus, take the difference of your weight and his (230lbs) and you have a decent depiction of what it may run. My guess would be mid-13’s depending on driver and weight.

Car specifications:
[ul]
[li]Approximately 130,000 miles on chassis, clean title, never been hit[/li]
[li]Car weighs approximately 2020lbs after the swap[/li]
[li]Built DOHC VTEC motor swap, set up according to Motorola Cup/Speedvision specifications by professional outfit (AutoSport South of Boca Raton, FL)[/li]
[li]10.65:1 compression ratio , 8600rpm shift point, 9000rpm rev limiter[/li]
[li]2001 Integra Type R cylinder head(purchased NEW from Acura in early 2002) which has ~6000 miles on it[/li]
[li]2000 Civic Si shortblock(less than 10,000 miles on it when installed…which equals about 15,000 miles now) [/li]
[li]Integra Type R transmission (purchased NEW from Acura 2/12/02) [/li]
[li]Fidanza 8lb. aluminum flywheel[/li]
[li]Integra Type R clutch (~10,000 miles on it)[/li]
[li]Zeal S6 aluminum suspension - 12K front, 8K rear (2500 miles on them, no track)[/li]
[li]Fiber Images Carbon Fiber Hood[/li]
[li]Fiber Images Carbon Fiber Hood w/ hood pins (not connected to chassis however)[/li]
[li]Mazda Miata OEM 14”x6.0” rims (10.5 lbs. each...lighter/wider/more unique than Civic HX wheels)[/li]
[li]Sparco Ultra black bucket seats with aluminum mounts[/li]
[li]Tekniq Autosport removable steering wheel[/li]
[/ul]

very not bad. I bet if it had a full interior, it'd get a lot more potential buyers. Just my $.02

well, I have the driver/passenger door cover, and A-pillar covers....you can get a civic back seat for a $100 or so....and an integra back seat for not much more than that. So, really, there isn't much you would have to do.
