b16bs didnt come out until 98 so its hydro, and if its a b18b it should be hydro aswell,

94 DC2 LSVTEC B18B bottom, B18C1 top.

Then it'll work fine. All civics from 92 up and integras from 94 up use hydraulic trannies.
