FS: B18A Engine - complete or pieces
from '90 Integra
Here's the deal:
I purchased the car with a dead cylinder. Did a compression and leak down test - 2 burnt exhaust valves.
Had head professionally freshened (by a very reputable one man shop)with two new valves, etc.
Installed head - engine consumed (burnt) mass quantities of oil (1 qt /1000 miles) for next 10k (approximately)....dead cylinder kinda' symptoms reoccurred...I assume that the same valves burnt again. I replaced the engine.
I suspect that the previous owner had the same problem although he mentioned nothing about oil consumption - even when questioned - 'just a dead cylinder' - imagine that :0)
Compression and leak down still OK. I suspect bad oil rings
So, there you have it. It's complete with intake, etc - throttle body may be a bit suspect...I don't remember why but I had to use the old one when I swapped the engines. No distributor.
