i am looking for a D-series engine for my brother's crappy hatchback
don't care if it's a 1.5 or 1.6, or if it's VTEC or not

engine currently in car is a D16Z6 ('95 HB CX swap)
due to poor workmanship (from people that don't know what they're doing), the engine has "fallen out" of the car 3 times
this has caused damage to the cam gear and i believe the timing belt has jumped (due to lack of power and what i believe to be valves tapping the pistons)
the engine mount area is completely stripped, and it seems as the headgasket is going bad
i'm sick of this junk engine

basically just in need of a longblock, block and head
something that is cheap and reliable
not willing to pay $450 at a junkyard for an 80hp engine
looking to spend a couple hundred at the most

i just need an engine in decent shape for a daily driver

i'm in ohio, i travel back and forth from cleveland to south of canton (new philadelphia/dover) area

i know many honda people swap out the d-series for bigger engines,
it's those neglected engines in the back of garages that i'm talking about

any help would be appreciated
