okay, so about my question...

i completely understand why people do it, always have.

i am wondering if people boo him everywhere he plays.

 

Everywhere but Pittsburgh and perhaps Canadaland.

Maybe not everywhere but especially in the NY area. I would bet also in Washington and Philly. Eventually they'll stop.

Speaking of which, I still think the NHL made sure their posterboy won the cup h:

 

Never seen him get booed here. Only booing i've witnessed is on occasion when former players return.

In TO the boos for Alfredsson are hilarious. There are enough Leaf fans in Ottawa to boo him too and the Sen fans (fairweather fans!) can't even cheer loud enough to take away the boo. Alfie is a nice guy.

 

Why would they boo Alfie? Last I checked, Mark Bell rung his bell last year.

 

Sens vs. Leafs rivalry.

My memory is hazy but this is what I remember: Once Sundin broke his stick and in frustration threw it into the crowd. He was suspended a game. Soon after in another game Alfie broke his stick and mockingly wanted to throw it into the crowd.

He also drilled Tucker into the boards from behind and ended up scoring a goal in a playoff game. So from those two events, whenever he touches the puck in Toronto and in Ottawa (when the Leafs are visiting), he gets booed.

That said I know he's not a douche, he's a nice guy but it's fun to be a hater. h: The Rangers must have a rival like that. Devils now since the Isles stink?

Oh and Sather.

Other than that, usually just Crosby because he's such a little bitch. Once in a while we'll go "Maaaaaaarty Maaaaaaaaarty" to Brodeur when he sucks at the Garden.
