I find it angering that people look only at the extremists of certain religions and say they hate religion based only on that. If you look at the extremists of any group - you will probably hate that group... what you forget about some relgions is that they try to instill moral and ethical values, they try to keep the hungry and homeless, fed and clothed - even give them places to sleep. They send missionaries around the world trying to help third world countries. They teach people to read, they give and give. God forbid some radical that says they are doing something for "God" steps in - don't mis-construe relgion with radicals. If they are not doing it for someone else's well being - then they are not doing it for "God" they are doing it for their own selfish purpose.

If you think anyone who is religious, loves all those things that you listed (which you hate). That would be rediculous. I'm not ashamed to say I am religious, and every thing you listed I hate as well. And they were all done for a selfish reason - not for the betterment of man (even if they think it was).

Feel free to say you hate religious extremism - that is fine, who doesn't? But saying you hate religion when some of them have done a lot for mankind through the generations is a bit extreme.
