Help with computer virus :(
I clicked a false link while looking for World Superbike torrents. The virus pwnt my Avast and now I am infected with 5 trojans and 1 rootkit.
Avast can't repair them, wtf
I'd rather not reformat but if I have to then so be it. Guess I need to start learning to use restore points.

does avast recognize the virus at leaast?
then u can google the virus and see how to deal with it if its that bad and u dont want to reformat. altho windows7 rc will be good until march and will be rtm this yr

Can't repair them suggests it's found them but can't get at them, to either quarantine (or put in chest 
) or remove. Are they restore files? If you're considering reformatting anyway, and you've gotten rid of everything but the last few files that Avast can't access, you could try switching off the restore function so it gets rid of all those files.
That will mean you can't restore to an earlier state though of course.
