The LA Times reported that three separate lawsuits have been filed contesting Prop 8.
But I doubt we've heard the last of Dobson and his cronies.

Moved to On Topic.

i have a lesbian cousin that got married during the little opening.

The DA said that those marriages should still be remain valid before the poll.

I just dont understand why people would vote against something that whne it really comes down to it, doesnt effect them? or am i missing something

Because if this passed EVERY marriage would become a joke....FUCKING BULLSHIT!!!

Let people live their own lives. Let them marry who they want.

My favorite is the god people coming into it, saying god wouldn't allow it...really? Where does it say that? King James wouldn't allow it...

I voted against it...but really? Filing a lawsuit against a vote of the people? C'mon now.

How do you think Roe v. Wade became a precedent? Brown vs. Board of Education? People took up lawsuits and created a precedent to fight a perceived injustice levied against them.

The amazing part is the fact that Brown V. already set the precident that civil unions as a substitute to marriage are unconstitutional. The fact that people ignore this shows that their support of the constitution is only when it's convenient to them...
