I know the title, do you understand why the title was stated as such? Janna was juxtaposing the emotions for one, to account for the other which is far worse.

OMG they have rules to make sure only eligible citizens vote! How disenfranchising! Now I'll have to go around ridiculous obstacles such as... 1. making sure I'm properly registered 2. provide a valid ID when going to vote
Fuck, I don't know if I can handle it.

The fact of the matter is it's easy as shit to cast a valid ballot. If you're not retarded and dependant on someone else to do everything for you it's not hard. This is just a standard smear tactic of liberals to convince minorities "the man" is just holding them down.

I really don't want to take a side, I registered to vote this year and had no problem at all. However, your last paragraph implies that because a government worker made a very minor typo (like a misplaced hyphen) and as a result someone's vote won't count - that the person affected, who has proper ID and didn't themselves make any mistakes, is a retard.

No matter a person's stance on those two stories, it most likely won't matter in the end. The GOP may want as few new voters as possible to be at the polls this year (whether some within the GOP have done anything underhanded to assure that I don't know) but enough will have registered regardless.

The reason that there is so much concern about improper voter registrations is...

These fictional characters -- in reality -- DO SHOW UP TO VOTE.

Indiana and Georgia ARE the ONLY states which require a government issued PHOTO ID!!!!

For example, here are OHIO's voter requirements. Look how easy it is to create duplicate voter registrations and vote multiple times.

Presidential Election
BREAKING NEWS: NO PHOTO ID REQUIRED TO VOTE!
That’s a fact.

“No photo ID is required. New Ohio voters have only to write down the last four digits of their Social Security number or write down their driver’s license number. They can also register with the utility bill, cell phone bill, bank statement or paycheck, even college ID if those documents include name and address.”

This was 2 years ago I'm certainly sure things have greatly changed.

Also that information you list needs to be verified prior as well. They are checked against the governments databases in position during voter registration to prevent fraud you speak of. In addition voter fraud is a federal offense, with a minimum sentence of 10 years, from what I recall.

Here's an article (yes partisan I admit) but it shows the extreme hoops a registration has to go through to be even allowed to vote:

More battleground states than Western USA, we're typically democrats on the West Coast. You might want to look at middle America + Florida.
