I'm down for the TF buyers club. I'd say we should get everyone who's in cell phone numbers, to better communicate what we find and what not.

 

the cardboard on CJ is mirror like. It's extremely glossy.



I was taking comparison shots of the boxes (KO Swoop vs KO Mirage) last night. The Mirage has a mirror like look to it. The top flap which says (TRANSFORMERS) reflected off of the top transformation instructions.


If there were ever an Encore Mirage, this would be it.

 

I can't believe the lack of movie toys in stores right now. The Targets around here are completely bare, Meijer stores usually have about 23 Scorponok figures and that's it, Wal-Mart is a joke, and I haven't been to a TRU lately to see what they have.

Now the mirages, did the better quality come from your recommendations basically or was this just the maker going to better product

I went to the new target across the street from my job. Opening day transformers EVERYWHERE, 3 weeks later, the only transformers sitting there is the unleashed OP and i think we all know why that is still there. I'm actually waiting for them to clearance that toy. I also want to pick up the big OP and Megatron toys

 

It's unreal and pathetic at the same time.

Hasbro blew it. The movie has been out there for 2 months. Of those 2 months, toys were available for 3 weeks.


I had absolutely no input on the matter and I think they might have improved the toy on accident. The painting of the "26" on the nose is great. The added painted stripes to the figure was terrific. The logo'ing on the side is slightly ticker and bigger.


I think the entire KO scene was getting a bad rep because of shoddy workmanship. With Swoop, some of the rocket launchers didn't fit to the wing properly. With the Black Prime I have ... the elbows were loose, etc ...

I think whomever made these really tired with Mirage. There's 1 semi-loose joint on the entire figure. (the waist twisty thing)

Otherwise, there are parts on there which are beyond tight. The arms stick. The spoilers stay up. The chest / nose piece doesn't flop when you pick the figure up.

 

TF's are eBay's 3rd hottest item for the Xmas season. Look at the things it beat out ...

TF's beat out the Wii and the TMX line. That's crazy.

 

OH ... I'm not sure how future TF Movie case assortments are going to look ... but ...

1. Toys are nowhere to be found now.
2. Toys were nowhere to be found shortly after the movie release.
3. Case assortments are changing.

The current leader class assortment is on wave 2. (Prime / Megatron, $40 ea).
The next leader assortment (3) will feature Megatron and Brawl.

PRIME IS GONE.

They yanked the one the kids want the most. Movie Prime (in original colors) will explode in pricing over the next few months. I don't know what case assortments will look like when the DVD release happens, but till then ... Movie Prime = :wavey:

 

Hmm. Well I'm definitely glad I grabbed Barricade and "old" Bumblebee when I did. Looks like I'll have to try and find 1 or 2 Primes ASAP. I'm kicking myself now for not getting all of the main movie characters when they first came out. :hs:
