No oil or wrong weght?
this just kinda hit me today, after a friends story,
ok lets say your driving and your check oil light comes on, you stop to check it ( i hope) and you see that the oil isnt even touching the dipstick
for reasons to make a point, you are in a remote part and about 30-50 mile out of range of any store or city, in your trunk you find some 20w-30 from your buddies oil chainge (dont ask me why) do you leave it and drive with low oil, or put in the wrong weight oil? i am just asking because one guy told me he would rather drive the distance with low oil then the wrong weight, i just wanted opinions, and whats the big deal.

put whatever oil in and at the first possible moment do a full oil change and check your oil frequently its the blood of your engine....if its disappearing i would look into whether its leaking or burning and look into getting it fixed
I'd rather drop a turd in the crankcase and then pee into it than drive the car with no oil in it for any period of time. However, sad to say, someone at my shop let a car go with a loose drain plug that ultimately fell out. Customer drove about 40 miles with no oil on the dipstick. He said his oil light never came on! He towed it back, we put oil in it and it ran fine. Honda engines are amazingly tolerant.
