On Black Friday, day after Thanksgiving, one of the specials is that 3 pack for $15.

@ Target, the Han Solo / Chewbacca SWTF set will be $15 too

 

I found a Cybertron Galvatron this weekend to toss on eBay.

I also came across the Shadow Recon Minicon team.

 

i saw half a dozen TRU side swipes at a KB-like toy store at mall in CT this weekend. :eek3: how many of those bastards did they make? :chuckles:

 

Before you brought it up, I had no idea Galvatron was so hard to find. You gotta admit though, that paint scheme is pretty sweet.

The SRM set is VERY cool. I like clear plastic. I like transformers. I like clear transformers.

Sideswipe was made for TRU distribution. An entire run was set to go around the world. For some reason, they were NEVER shipped and sat in a warehouse for years.

At Botcon 2005, I think this was brought up to a Hasbro pannel ... the question was like, "wtf is with Sideswipe" ... reply? "we're looking into it"

He then surfaced 11/2005 @ KB.

There are more TRU's globally than KB. It may seem like there's LOADS of him, but you just had a toy meant for 1,000 stores now crammed to 300.

 

huh.. that's pretty interesting.

oh, and this place was still charging $15 for him. :squint:

Before the KB distribution, Sideswipe would appear randomly on eBay from Chinese sellers. They'd CONSTANTLY go over $100 USD.

Oh how times have changed. I'd hate to get burned by that.

 

:chuckles: I think I bought 4 Sideswipes when they first showed up at the KB here.

 

So I think I'm really out for good...I'll be going to Ikea to get another shelf and a glass door for one of my other shelves, but I think that will be the last toy-related purchase I make for a while.

I just bought an Accord on Saturday, so my cash flow is going to be kind of tight for a while. I'll still be checking the thread regularly, but I don't think I'll be getting in on any of the new goodies. It's probably a good thing I never really saw the new classics line in person :hs:
