Which semi auto is the best overall?
For the money I like the Glock 30 .45 ACP compact. If I wanted to spend more though you cannot go wrong with a H&K USP.
BTW I own a Glock 30 and speak from experience. Before I bought it I shot many different pistols of varying caliber. I settled on the Glock 30 due to its compact size and stopping power.

Well, which application are you looking at? Home defense? Range? Carry?
Regardless of which, I find that how it feels and shoots in your hands is most important. I would see if you can hold each one...and if possible find a range that will rent out those guns and shoot them. I've shot a few pistols and each of them feel very different. Although, I havent shot any of the ones you posted. The closest would be a Glock 17.

Ya the 1991 is just a newer version of the ww2's 1911 45acp. I like them both to.

No. Check them out. Kimber makes BEAUTIFUL pistols. I am not a huge fan of Sigs.
If you are going to be shooting paper, go for a 9mm. Its much cheaper. And for home defense, load them up with some Speer Gold Dots.
