Default post count to be able to sell in classifieds?

this is just a thought but on one of the other integra forums i am on has a strict policy as far as selling in the parts/clasified section. you cant have no less the 50 posts in order to sell a part or product and i believe this idea or option could probably help us bring down the scamming somewhat on the forum, i suggest no less then 50 to 100 posts to be able to place a classified ad but this is my option, what do you guys think? mods?

If people weren't so stupid as to buy from people that showed no references this wouldn't be a problem.

I think people should negotiate a price. Then after the deal is made the seller should put it on ebay. The buyer then has to pay a little extra for listing price, but hell it's better than gettin scammed. This is pretty much the safest way possible because this way the seller could lose his ebay and paypal privelages if he tries to pull some bullshit. YKWIM

Another site I am actually interested in has this policy. It's kind of annoying since I don't have the need to post there much. But it's so friggin' huge that they have to limit it some how.

I don't think that anyone here that is a serious seller would have any problem in posting.

It does help to a certain extent, but some people would just post whore to reach a certain count to post.

Though we could implement something like this.

I tend to think the worst of people with a low count or new to the forums, in the classified ads. I don't want to get ripped off.

well.... the thing that happened to me with cryzl44r.. or what ever his sn is.... he had a high post.... 200, and he'd been on for a while... actualy selling and buying stuff.... so i realy coudlnt' tell that way.....

i realy like the ebay post idea.... but i have a feeling that that could go south as well... with lots of spammers etc

if there was a way for the mods create a seperate auction forum... so that there would be 2 of them and only long time members can start a threat in one..... 1 for people with a good feeback or have been around ..... and one for people who have only been on for 3 months or 300 posts......
so there would be a kind of ... lower class and upper class stores

i dunno... take that and run with it

If it was set at say, 100 posts, it would take some time to whore it up just to get to that point. If someone stuck around for that long just to scam, that's just evil.
