Default Computer/Network gurus check in v. CS:S

Hey guys, I've been getting random lag spikes every couple of minutes and I don't understand why.

Windows XP SP2
Intel P4 2.53 GHz
512MB PC2100 DDR RAM
ATI Radeon 9600XT 256MB DDR

Linksys Wireless network adapter Speedbooster
Linksys Wireless G Router Speedbooster

Current Console settings:

rate 15000
cl_cmdrate 75
cl_updaterate 74

Any tweak advice would be great too

If it is network lag, try restarting your modem or updating/reinstalling drivers on your card.

If it is graphic lag, there are a couple of things that might help:
1. Make sure stuff is closed in the backround (ctrl+alt+del)
2. MSCONFIG
3. Obviously reduce graphics...

...it is probably network lag. I would just reinstall everything.

It is not conducive to play FPS over a wireless network as there is interference and drops in packets. A wired connection is highly recommended in my honest opinion.
