I also purchased a THS-02 from Japan on e-bay. I'm not putting much faith in D-T or TFSource coming through on my order since I put them in late. TF-Source = preordered 1 week before shortage news. D-T the night the shortage news broke.

As a bonus, I did get the limited edition WST hotrod included with the auction!

At the JDM TRU's, the first 30 customers to purchase THS-02 got the WST Hot-Rod as a promo.

If the other two do come through, I'll offer them up here first at MSRP so we all have a chance at getting one.

Question: I never followed the WST line. Is the the packaging the only thing that makes this one special?

 

I just got back from the Times Square TRU, and they have a wall of Alternator Smokescreens :wtf:

I'm convinced that they have a giant stockpile of everything desireable in the back. I wonder how hard it would be for me to get a part time job there.

The final WST wave was the 2.5 case assortment. This featured Hot Rod on the box.


The only jacked up part is, Hot Rod was the "chase" item packed to a limited ratio ... I think it was 20:1 or 15:1. In other words, it was next to impossible to get.

That's very typical. TRU has the WORST distribution I've ever seen. Just yesterday a case of red boxed alternators was unloaded at the TRU I visited. Case fresh ... Decepticharge, Wheeljack, Battle Ravage, and Windcharger .. sitting there. This case hasn't shipped since the first week of December. :doh:

Haha, the place is huge...I don't even know where the back room is. For a place that gets so much tourist traffice everyday, you would think that they would have the most up-to-date shipments, but they are consistently 1-2 months behind other TRU's

I saw a Rollbar at KB for $25...the one I go to has cut their TF inventory to about 25 total items. That includes doubles.
