ya man. so far Burhle has been only fairly consistent starting pitcher for them. Both games Garland pitched, Sox gave him 5+ runs within the first few innings. Then he gives up like a million runs to the opposition. It's like he just has one bad inning that kills him.

Pauly's bat has been comin thru the past week too. I think the sox should be in good shape.

 

The thing about that Sox lineup is that Konerko and Thome are way too much for any pitcher to handle.

"phew ... Thome is gone ... time to ease up a bit"

You can't take a mental break with Konerko. You can't take a mental break with anyone before Thome, last thing you want is for Jim to hit a HR with the bases filled.

If Podsednik reaches, that will drive a pitcher insane. The threat of a stolen base is there ... now you have to deal with power sluggers.

On top of it, you have Dye sitting in the 5 hole. He's got some HR pop in his bat.

 

it's awesome, isn't it?! And I guess i should add....Contreras has been pretty consistent this year too. Picking up just where he left off last year.
