The latest designs for the next NSX look more like the upcoming Toyota Supra/Lexus LF-A and Nissan Skyline than anything. And if I remember correctly it's going to be a front-engine RWD car. It's possible the engine will be mounted behind the front wheels, so it's sort of mid-engined, but it almost definitely won't have the same layout as the old NSX.
The original concept for the new NSX, which looked more like the original, wasn't particularly good. This new concept isn't much of an improvement. It looks like Honda has just reacted to the Japanese competition by designing a car with a similar layout. Although apparently some higher-ups at Honda agree with me because the car has been delayed because of concerns over the styling.
The Japanese have really been disappointing designs released in the past few years. So I really hope that the new NSX looks nice.
