Honda has come up with a novel way to boost car sales this September: the company is offering a free mower to anyone who orders a new car next weekend, (13 and 14 September) for delivery by the end of the month.

It's all part of a special Honda test drive weekend, where participating dealers will be handing over car keys to members of the public. This is a unique opportunity for people to sample the delights of Honda's award winning car range, and decide which model suits them best.

Following the test drive, if a customer places an order he or she will receive a complimentary Honda Izy lawnmower. Featuring a clean, environmentally friendly (E-spec) four stroke petrol engine, this top-quality push-mower normally sells for £250 inc VAT.

And the good news is that the lawnmower offer is additional to Honda's existing consumer offers. These currently include free insurance and a £300 PCP deposit contribution for the Jazz S, and 2 years free servicing and a £500 PCP deposit contribution to a range of Civic Inspire S 5 door models - all of which include £500 worth of additional specification, while costing £500 less than regular Civic models.

"The lawnmower offer is great news for our customers and creates extra publicity for Honda's Power Equipment range," explains Honda's Simon Thompson. "We're expecting a healthy uptake to the offer, so we've allocated an extra 1000 Izys especially for the purpose."
