BMW to add SMG tranny to 04 models
looks like all models except the 7 series and the X5 and AWD 3-series as well as the wagons. Not sure on the Z4 but I believe it will probably get it as well.
Obviously the M3 models already have it available.

There's nothing that can replace the feeling of complete control you have with a true manual transmission..... I don't care if the SMG is faster. That computers and electronic switches are shifting the car removes at least some of the driving elelment. Besides, the purr of an engine between shifts is like the soft touch of a girl, and that's all I have to say about that.
