Back to the topic, I'm glad to see that both the Corolla and the Civic beat the Focus. I can't make out a whole lot more than that from the chart, it's kind of small, blurry for me here.

EDIT: I noticed that the overall sales are down compared to the previous years though, so that's not good.

If sales continue to go down and it looks like the Corolla will take over and sales leader, I'm pretty sure Honda will make some more features standard, increase the hp a bit, freshen up the fron or read a tad, do something to hold people over til the new one comes out.

I've riden in the new Corollas and they are nice. Very quiet (and I've only been in the CE model). I haven't riden in the current generation Civic, but have driven / riden in the previous gen. If it's anything like the, Corolla kicks the Civic's arse.

No, that's what the Civic Si should look like. I love my RSX, but it definately wouldn't be hurt with more aggressive styling.

we own a 2k1 civic and we actually went and looked at the new corollas before we bought the civic...main reason why we got it was the civic has better crash ratings (5 stars across the board)...we needed a safe reliable car to move our baby around in...and though the corolla has more hp stock (we got the ex with side air bags) the civic was more fun to drive and felt faster (especially at higher rpms where the corolla was surprising low spirited...though the corolla had more torque at the lower end)...after you add all the options up to make a comparable car the civic cost less too

Civic is still the sales leader in this market. If that changes, Honda will do something to make sure they regain the lead. They always do.
