Civic Type R To Get IMA, Then Come To America?
I wonder how they are going to set up in Civic Type-R... I meant where they are going to put those batteries to have them at maximum power and efficiency.......... And I have strong questions about their track ability. The addition of IMA means the increase of weight too...... So how the Honda engineers can still maintain its performance part will be interested to see........

It should improve weight distribution, but at the same time, the battery will probably add a significant amount of weight. It shouldn't be a big problem if the IMA system has a high output that will allow the vehicle to maintain a good power/weight ratio.
The Insight only weighs from 1847 to 1967 pounds depending on transmission choice and whether or not you get a/c. The current CTR is a bit porky but I don't doubt that weight could be taken out of other places to at the very least keep the weight of an IMA version similar to that of the current car.
