Is there any worthy GM product for under $20,000 msrp?

only chevy i'd ever buy is a c5 vette (including z06), not even the rebadged toyotas
i'd say get off the giveaway/cheap financing addiction and get her a car with all around potential in a toyota/honda/subaru (safety, performance, reliability, quality, etc.)

I was making a recommendation...I personally don't mind the Vibe, but I wouldn't buy one. I was just trying to be helpful.

since you are coming off a lease you will not have any equity and the leasing company will be in trouble as you probably leased the car before the 0% craze which in turn ruined any resale value of the car

i dont like the vibe because it has that extra body cladding etc... that roof rack thing, and its pontiac style, vs. the matrix which looks alot cleaner.

It's strange, I totally disagree with you here. The Vibe's cladding is minimal and I think that helps to make it (painted of course), the roof rack has unique design fitted to cooperate with the roof, and the Matrix has more bublious and round styling while the Vibe is cleaner.
