Smart 4 Door
It's actually based on the Mitsubishi Colt. Yet another instance of the DaimlerChrysler merger producing some kind of platform-sharing.

In Japan there are a bunch of trim levels, you can choose any combination of a 1.3-liter 90 hp inline-4 or 1.5-liter 98 hp inline-4 and either awd or fwd. My guess is this'll compete with Scion if anything at all.
Oh and...

Not bad... Front end could use a little work.
I like the Colt front elevation a bit more; the Smart schnoz looks a little distended to me..:eh:
I trust it will be front engine, front drive this time around?

I'm not digging the two-tone paint job and huge panel gaps, but I guess that's the signature Smart style. The side profile looks pretty good though. If they painted it all one color, put on some normal tail lights and made the front clip more smoothed over (instead of having the huge quantities of cladding) it would look better; but I guess then it wouldn't look like a Smart.
The two-tone plastic theme isn't cutting it for me. It looks fairly aggresive, but its most likely going to pack a wimpy 4 cyl (think Scion or Echo). For this car its the price that will make it a failure or success. It's not pretty, but I think theres enough buyers out there would be buy it at the right price.
