Technically, honda is already working with GM, with Honda's Passport being rebadged Isuzu Rodeo's, and Isuzu being part owned by GM. As for motor swapping, the other half of that rumor that no one in this thread seems to want to mention is that Honda was supposed to get the Chevy 4.8 liter truck V-8 for use in a pickup. As far as I know that has been nixed, though Isuzu will be getting a version of the Trailblazer/Envoy, which will be available with the 4.2 liter straight six, and the aforementioned V8

Had to bring this up. I guess the Honda engine in a GM is still a go. Looks like there is strong words that Saturn will get the Honda 3.0L sometimes next year for their VUE. Still has not been confirm though.
I have to laugh at a vocal anti-Honda member over at the Saturnboard.:rofl::rofl:

If Honda is expanding the plant for 300,000 more engines (all V6s presumably?) and 90,000 are earmarked for GM, what will be of the other 210,000? Perhaps the 'TSX' will get a V6, as would the CR-V, and the Element possibly? (Element Si would make me think of Silicon) Honda did just say it wants to crank out 150k more Odysseys, but then I thought the Odyssey's engines were built in Lincoln. Maybe the new RL will get a V12, so Honda is making a lot more V6s so it can just stick two together

But why? Why would GM need the Honda V6?
Chevy has the 3.1 which I could see be replaced. But they have the venerable 3.8 which would romp on a Honda V6 all day long. No offense
