to get anywhere near 14.3 an intake and exhaust would not do so for a gsr...he had to have gutted the car and had several other bolt on mods such as slicks b/c a .5 second drop in 1/4 mile time is significant

there are stock rsx type s running 14.7s with NO modifications and NO gutting of the car (besides removing the spare tire and all the junk in the car)...a gsr just doesn't have the torque the type s has

Like i said, that's a freak motor. He has time slip and video to prove it. I forgot the link though and too lazy to look for it. I know it's hard to believe but he had full interior. There are stock GS-R w/ NO mods running 14.8s and 14.9s as well, so they're not that much different. Just like dyno, the weather condition affects the result quite a bit.

Even then, a 0.7 descrepency between "normal" GS-R's and his "freak" GS-R in the 1/4 mile is a HUGE HUGE difference.

I know it is, but I'm just stating the facts. I can't really argue against video and time slip proof.

there was a discussion on another forum of how fast someone's celica gts ran with the similar the "freak motor" theory. they also had a video, timeslips of low 14s etc. of course the video doesn't look at the engine bay nor prove that that engine has not been worked up to create much more power but look stock

a .8 second difference in the 14s is somewhere about a 50-60 hp differential all other things on the car being the same...either he has nitrous or someother modifications but a stock gsr with i/h/e will not push those numbers unless something else has been done

if you look at a crx si...it runs low 15s with a good driver stock...swap in the b16a1 (50-60 hp difference) it runs mid to low 14s on a car that weighs 600lb less than a gsr...heavier the car requires more power on an almost exponential scale
