honda is a small car manufacturer so it needs constant sales growth to keep up with the larger companies...(in order to not become a subsidiary like mazda, mitsubishi, daewoo or nissan)...the new civic is selling better than the older generation did...it was made for a broader audience and not for the racers...car companies do not get sales from racers...it's a plain fact...the mitsu eclipse was a gem but didn't sell well...the newer one sells much better than the older b/c it has a broader appeal

honda will always sell a single minded racer...such as the s2000 and nsx...in the future a rsx type r (maybe even a civic type r)

the reason why honda is trying to get bigger with broader appealling cars is GM admitted a couple years ago it has been aggressively trying to find a way to buy honda motor company

Well duh. Who in the auto industry wouldn't want Honda (except maybe Toyota)? But then, who in the auto industry could afford Honda (except maybe Toyota).

No worries.

just making sure members get the most accurate information...don't you hate it when you hear something only find out its not technically true or even true at all

i don't know why it was the civic del sol here...i wonder if it would have sold more in the US if it was the crx del sol (same name as in japan)...but probably not

Yeah, I know what you mean about misinformation. If someone corrects me, it's all good (so long as thier right)...

My aunt has a red '89 CRX with all the factory options, the body is in perfect condition, and it runs like a champ (140k miles)... She said that when she sells it, I'll be the first person to know it's only driven about 20 miles a day, all under 50mph. I can't wait to get my hands on that car

I doubt that the del sol would have sold more if it was a crx del sol here... Most people probably got it because they had removable tops and it was a 2 seater, and super light.

Who cares what it woulda been called, the car sucked.

What we need is another CRX, not another del slo.
