Default Acura Needs Something New

When is Honda or Acura going to really wow us with something new and exciting? I would really love to see something out of the Honda camp to challenge the WRX Sti and the Lancer Evolution. 200 horsepower just doesnt cut it anymore. I am a huge Honda fan but kind of stuck in a rut right now because their really isnt anything great to buy right now.

I would love that as well. Honda takes their time on things like this. Just look how much time they took to enter the SUV world with a creation all of their own.

Honda is an economy car company remember, don't expect anything insane from them. Especially Evolution/STi competition.

Acura, being the 'performance/luxury division' should be coming out with most of the heavy hitters. Too bad nothing really exciting is in the near future. The only thing I'm waiting on is the hybrid they're doing. They're stated it's going to be used for performance, not economy this time.

Let's see what they do with the DN-X concept.

i want an 6spd awd wagon from honda or acura...a real wagon with a low center of gravity and not a crossover/suv/minivan...several other mfgrs already have offerings on this trend (audi s4 & wrx wagon)

i'm wondering why we can't get the tsx wagon with 6spd and awd with the 200hp 2.4 liter

You mean this?

They do sell AWD versions in Japan, but I can't decipher if any of them come with the 200 hp K24 and 6-speed.

They do, actually. I'm the head production engineer.

I'm honestly not sure how that makes me feel. It's not too easy on the eyes.

I always thought the Civic Si (or Type R) would make a great base for a rally car. Look how far ford has gotten with their focus. I mean the shifter and all is rally style already.

They will never release an Acura wagon, especially of a sport model.
