The main reason for the decline in sales has nothing to do with Acura, you're right. The 1st gen Legend had no competitors, it was all by itself...by the 2nd gen more and more were being created. Acura needs to play catch up, but Honda is damn good at this game.

The current economy is different that that of the 90's, and entry level is where the sales are going to be until the market picks up a little bit. So, for now, Acura should just try to cover that market very well and then prepare itself for the upturn.
What I'm trying to say is if they come out with a $60,000 car, this wouldnt be the best time to do so.
