How funny, it sucks to be a super fast luxury car

O, sucks when your going up against the M5? True. For the overall package, I cant really think of a car that stands up to the M5.

Hell yeah. When you're up against the Godliness that is M5, mere super fast luxury cars don't even deserve to drive in its wake. (Not that I wouldn't take any of the above cars if it were offered to me. I'd just take the M5 if I had the choice.)

He yeah thats what i was joking. But i think if any of these other cars offered a manual the M5 would loose its domination among us.

The folks at M-Sport division are brilliant..... take a sedan to the grocery store, soccer game, kids softball practice, vacation to Disney World, RACE TRACK! Run errands and blow away a Vette at the same time. We should  BMW.

It's thanks to BMW's M division that we have AMG, quatrro (audi's), the type s, the "r" jags, etc etc. Everyone and their mom wants to have the performance divison nowadays, and i like the trend.

Isn't Audi's high performance the RS? Quattro is just it's 4WD system name.

The sad thing about BMW M, is that all the wannabe's are just that: wannabe's. The closest thing to BMW M is probably Honda Type-R. Type-S, is nice and all, but as long as slushboxes can be Type-S, they aren't M.

Now... we all know that the X5 4.4i can kick the snot out of ML55 AMG. BMW needs to bring out the big guns with the X5M to show the Cayenne who's the boss.

While quattro is the name of their awd system, quattro GmbH is wholly owned subsidiary, much like AMG.

The Audi RS 6 is an independent model that has been created by quattro GmbH and developed in conjunction with AUDI AG. It is being built jointly at Neckarsulm by the Audi plant and quattro GmbH. The RS 6 is assembled and finished at quattro GmbH's production facilities, at the rate of no more than a handful of cars each day, in the best handicraft tradition. This approach assures supreme product quality and has already proven notably successful for assembly of the RS 4, of which 6030 were built between September 1999 and July 2001.

Kinda dumb that they named them after their awd system, but they did. and RS is the tag that the cars that quattro GmbH will modify wil get.

And yeah, Type R is the cloest thing to M. And the top of the line BMW SUV is the X5 4.6is, thats the one that kills the ML55AMG. As of now, BMW doesnt see the X5 fit to recieve the M treatment, but it might in a future generation.

Also, notice how BMW is the only one whos stayed N/A at this point? Mercedes and jaguar use superchragers, and Audi uses two turbos. Go BMW :naughty:

I chose the Jaguar XJR. I like the body style much better than all the other contenders in this category. People look at it and think elegance but whats under the hood changes that prespective(ULTIMATE SLEEPER). 0-60 4.8 1/4 mile 13.7!! THATS ONE FAST AUTOMATIC! It's more luxurious than all of the other cars as well.

Yes, I forgot all about the Jag XJR. It sure is one damn sweet car. But the M5 is faster than that still, far better looking, and can take it in any twisty

Hey Babs, ever heard of the SMGII? Yeah, shutup :fawk:
