Nissan planning to grow Frontier, add entry-level vehicles to lineup
Nissan’s next Frontier will grow to compete with the Toyota Tundra, rather than continuing as a small truck that is outsold by Toyota Tacoma by a two-to-one margin.
So says Nissan vice president Bill Kirrane, who also promises that Nissan is looking at new entry-level sedans and sport/utility vehicles for the U.S. market.
Kirrane says the company needs an entry-level car closer to $11,000, vs. the Sentra that starts at about $18,000. No word on Nissan’s entry SUV plan.

I like their base they have for the Frontier. It's a good looking truck...I'd buy one if the build quality inside was more substantial and offered a beefier, higher displacement engine.
Not a fan of the new models pictured here, however.

Wow, sentra starts at about $18,000 ?? are you sure ?? The X-trail's exterior looks nice, but I don't like the center mounted dash like toyota echo. I don't understand why more and more automakers are putting their dash in the center.
And I think the X-Trail also has a full-washable interiors, at least that's what I heard the asian version has.
