But they absolutely need one if they plan on tackling the full-sized pickup line. They don't want to pull a Toyota T100.

If they did decide to make a full size pick-up...I doubt we'd see one for at least another 5 years. They'd probably want to see how the mid size truck does first. Then if its successfull, we'd see a full size truck and suv. By then, a v8 would absolutely be necessary.
