Isnt the 2.0 good enough? I dont see why we have to be the only ones with the 2.5, i dont like the idea since its not true to the rally heritage and its 2.0 size limit. but whatever, its powerful as heck, i cant complain.

Yeah, I'm not too hot on the 2.5...That seems like a cop-out by Subaru...Probably to meet emissions or something. Who cares. This car rocks.

no not available yet.

but keep in mind the WRX was "announced" with 240+hp but it ended up with 227hp.

we'll see how subaru does this time around.

Mitsu. delivered with the Lancer Evolution with 271hp, recardo, brembos, etc, all for $29K (not to mention the ralleyart parts to bump the hp to 320hp).

Subaru has made available a few STi parts for the WRX but mostly cosmetic pieces and suspension parts. Nothing to increase the HP.

Why kick and whine about the 2.5? From what I see, the 2.5 gives us 300hp and 300 lbs of torque according to the website. Correct me if I'm wrong, but thats more powerful than the previous 02/03 STi models in Europe and Japan. Why complain? And oh yeah, the car is no longer that fugly... It might actually find a place in my driveway if I don't spring for one of those yummy TSXs...

Boo hoo, Subaru included an extra half liter of displacement over the standard WRX. Now we have more power and less turbo lag but it sucks because the WRC car has a 2.0 liter motor.

Are you guys serious?!

Yeah really. I can't think of any disadvantages. Except gas mileage, of course

That car kicks ass! I edited the first post to include more than the link
