when they are all the same? I never understood this.
The whole Plymouth lineup is gone...

Caravan is the Dodge low end model while the Town and Country is the Chrysler luxury version.

Voyager is still exist and continues to be the low end model. It's sold under the Chrysler brand.

Does anyone have the sales data for the Eclipse, RSX, and Celica? I just find it really hard to believe that the Eclipse is selling more than the RSX and Celica.

But I see Saab dying. You can't really survive with a 2-car lineup, and I doubt adding another car will happen despite all the rumours. The new 9-3 will lose loyalists and thats all a brand really has. There are other products in the same price range that are as good as the 9-3 so I can't see them staying around much longer.

I think Mercury will go as well, the way Ford is losing money I doubt it can afford to spend additional cash to differentiate Mercury's product line and promote it.

Suzuki and Isuzu will go, at least in the car business. I don't understand how Suzuki makes such good bikes, but such terrible cars. And Isuzu, which is bleeding to death literally will probably exit the commerical "SUV" business.

Gotta disagree with Mitsubishi. Its growing strong.

According to Ford, Mercury is likely to stick around for a while, although their product plans for the next ten years include a rebadged version of the Escape and a new Cougar replacement (don't they ever give up?).

Read my Feb 2003 Honda sales post tommorrow when the figures come out...the RSX has been getting its ass kicked because of the west coast port strike, so we'll see this month what happened.

That's because it's a poser car. It rides like a Honda Accord, is heavy, is big, has a reliable name, and posers like it.

I dunno, but in Seattle I rarely see any Eclipses riding around. Also, was just in San Diego for 3 weeks and I didn't see very many either. I guess I just find it hard to believe that a Mitsu coupe (a bad one at that) is outselling sports coupes from Acura and Toyota. I mean, Acura and Toyota are better nameplates in my opinion, and I think they have far better repuations than Mitsu. And we all know that the Celica and RSX are better cars. I mean, they're even cheaper! I'll never understand how the world works...
