I wonder if AWD is going to be a big demand for minivans? It's defnitely a niche, but is it worth it to pursuit for the size of Honda? Isn't it interesting to see that everyone is now copying the "magic" third row seat from the Odyssey?

Sorry, but it's a Honda message board, so if you don't like threads derailing into Honda territory, scoot back to your Toyota forums :fawk:

copying it + making it better.... its a split magic in Sienna = better.

All i can say is wow... its got so many unique features, as well as so many updates, also not the $35k price tag for the fully loaded XLE Limited.

Sorry, it was in the Archive...which apparently cannot be posted in :eh:

What do you get for $28,000, the price of a top of the line Odyssey with Navi?

well the Odyssey with Navi is only available with leather, so its $30,400. If you want the Odyssey that costs around $28k, thats the Odyssey with Leather..... so ill compare it with that one($28,400).

So for the $28,770 Sienna XLE, you get everything the Odyssey has, plus/minus the following:

- 230HP vs 240HP (but weighs about 220lbs less)
- Rear stabilizer bar(whoopty shit)
- Power Liftgate
- Cloth seating(which takes away heated seats)
- 3rd row split bench
- Heated front mirrors
- Tilt/telescopic wheel
- Outside Temp
- No traction control
- No rear disks
- Front/Rear Head Airbags(no side airbags)
- Auto on/off headlights
- Fog Lights
- 10 spkrs w/ 360 watts

Might be a few other things.... i was going to price the Sienna with leather, but the build your own on Sienna isnt working right......

sean

Comparing a base Odyssey and Sienna....

Sienna CE - $23465
Odyssey LX -$24860

The sienna has everything the Odyssey does except
- 4 Wheel disks
- 10 HP (200lbs lighter)
- No cruise control
- No trac control
- Sienna has Cd player w/ 6 spks

Seems to me that the Odyssey is still the best value. Sienna seems to be aimed squarely at the T&C.

Nice sound system though.

Don't start comparing the 04 Sienna to the Odyssey too soon, especially the current 2003 model year Odyssey. A new 2004 Honda Odyssey is suppose to be announce by this summer and start arriving by years end.

The Sienna still is carried on front struts and a rear torsion beam suspension.
