Again, Honda shows 'em how to do it. I'd say you walk away from most accidents in the Accord. And the curtain and side airbags are a great addition (too bad Honda only offers it on EX and V6 models).

Honda offers side airbags in the LX models also. Goto Honda's website and build an Accord. You'll see the LX with Front Side Airbags in its trim. But they are fairly difficult to find in dealer's stock, but I've came across a few LX with side airbags in last year model in dealer's showroom.

Good job Honda. Also, I give some props to BMW for making the Mini so safe, despite its size.

I see. It's great, though, that you can get curtain air bags for the first time ever on a sub-30,000 car. I think they're standard on every BMW, but try to get a 3-series under 30 bills. This is truly an example of the features and quality of a high-end marque trickling down to an average, runabout family sedan. Let's see how long it takes for Honda's competitors to catch on.

Hate to break news to you, but the Saturn L's have had side curtains since the mid-2001 models. But didn't have side airbags. I think the Altima and Camry also has side curtains as options in 2002.

As mentioned above you could get them on the Saturn L Series. They are also standard on VW Golfs, Jettas and Passats...not sure about the other models.
