Since we all love negativity so much, what do you guys feel is the ugliest car of MY2003? I've decided not to post a poll/nominees because it would limit discussion. This can be a car, truck, SUV, or cross over. Basically anything that is currently producted...EXCEPT THE PONTIAC AZTEK. That is too ugly to be in consideration. You can vote on anything from the Kia Rio Cinco to the BMW 7 Series to the Ferrari Enzo. Please post a pic of your ugly car if possible and maybe even tell us why it's so fugly. This is not WORST car of the year (although that is a good idea and may happen in the future), this is UGLIEST car of the year. It can be a great car but still be fugly. Like the 7 series and Enzo. Enjoy

I'm going to have to go with the Lexus SC430 here. Why? I have some issues with this car:
Honorable mentions: Chevy Avalanche, Chevy Monte Carlo, Chevy Impala, Kia Rio Cinco, Infiniti M45, Lexus ES300, Toyota Prius, Honda Element, Toyota Matrix.

I'm going to have to go with the Lexus SC430 here. Why? I have some issues with this car:
- That damned roofline. Looks like a stretched TT with a folding hardtop, which is this car's only cool feature.
- That damn bling bling grille. In any color other than silver and gold it sticks out like the Z's door handles.
- Those headlights. who the hell designed those? Looks like S Class headlights that were melted and then reworked into shape with a hammer. And something else that made them look like Insight headlights.
- That front fascia is just FUGLY. It is way too rounded and girly. Too many sweeping curves and no real lower grille.
- Those wheels are horriffic. I don't know if I've ever seen wheels that are so bland.
- That little chrome antenna sticking out of its ass looks plain retarded.
- What were they thinking with the little duckbill spoiler on the ass? It's a poor attempt to give some style to a no charachter, round, and bland trunk.
- I cannot rag on those retarded taillights enough. They're round and stupid looking.

Have to disagree with you on that one, I think the new SC is a piece of art. But like everything else really, styling is very subjective. I think my vote for ugliest car is the new Cavalier. I don't have a pic for fear that it would break my monitor. But geez, you'd think that Chevy would get it after all these years...

the 30k chevrolet avalanche...do you want change?...it's the aztek of pickups...just imagine being able to load dirt and **** into part of the rear seats of the suv...gotta luv being the backseat passengers...oh wait...most suvs & pickups don't ever get dirty or haul anything...maybe it needs some more plastic all around

pinions) is what makes this forum work
Joel, gotta agree there. That was a close 2nd, I almost put that but wanted something more controversial. I parked near one yesterday...those squared off wheel wells do it NO favors. They used to be squared off...for 2003 they're rounded with a hunk of plastic.
I think the SC is a pretty car. Get it in black, slam it on some dubs and it's a tiiiiite ride y0!
I tend to look more at the overall design of the car than odd surface details.
I like the Enzo and 7-series also.
My vote goes for the Saturn Ion.

(Thank you Kazi for the pics)

Oh yeah, give another vote for the Enzo as well. It looks like origami gone bad on automotive design! Blech!
As for the Ion I think its a huge improvement over the outgoing S-series. Although lets not kids oursevles here, who actually gives a flying rat's ass about the Ion? I'm surprised GM's trying to bring a "tuner coupe" to the market with 200+ hp. I mean, good idea, but I doubt the execution will be anything close to a success.
