The original GT40 was called that because it competed in the GT class and was 40 inches tall.

what happened was that the small company wanted to negotiate with them and come to an agreement before any price was even set.. ford refused and then renamed...

I don't care what it's called, it looks like one hell of a car. Ford did exactly what they needed to do with it: Keep the looks the same, expand the cabin, add modern electronics.

It doesn't get much better than that.

I think it needs a big block instead of a blown 5.4 liter.

hhmm...pushin dual 500's...that engine looks dead on perfect...with 88.9 hp per liter. They almost got honda's best at 100 per liter(on the s2000 i believe).

this is going to be street legal right? Anybody know what kinda price range we talkin here?
