this car seems to be an s2k, TT and solstice all smashed into one
not saying it looks ugly by any means, it looks kinda cool, but alot of the design cues and body lines arent that original

Similar to an s2k, only much shittier.
So you want less power to weight?

My point was that while horsepower may sell in the brochures, in the real world there is a significant benefit to having a lighter car.
Personally, I would rather have a lighter car with a somewhat anemic engine than a heavy car with a powerful engine.

:eh: No.. what made you think that?

I'll take the 2900 pound car with 260 hp (11.15 lbs/hp) vs > 2400 lbs w/176 (13.6 lbs/hp)
Personally, I believe the Miata is still king of this segment. The Demon/Dildo has not changed my impression.

for open top roadsters, weight is a crucial issue. For coupes and sedans however, the general driving dynamics differ so it isn't the ultimate goal to build a 4 dr sedan coming in at only 2200 lbs while sporing a 240hp I4 engine. It's possible, but building a lightweight car involves a lot of engineering tweaks, translating to higher dollars.

Ah... now I gotcha. I should have clarified my point at the beginning, rather than just tossing in some numbers.
I apologize for giving you the wrong impression.
While the 260hp/2900 lb car may have a higher hp/lb ratio, it also asks more of its brakes and tires and suspension than the 176hp/2400lb car.
IMO, gobs of horsepower is not the ideal remedy for an overweight car.
A properly engineered roadster will concentrate on weight reduction first rather than mask that problem by tossing in a monster motor.
That's all. h:
