Why the fit? It's an econoslushbox. If it were made by any other car company aside from Honda nobody would vote for it.

the Cayman starts at $49k and the limit is $45k this year. (I think it was done to sabotage it though.)

If the same rules were used as last year's, I don't think the Fit even qualifies. The Fit isn't new, new to us, but not new at all. They've been making the Jazz for some time and I don't think LHD conversion is a big update. The Toyota Aygo is better.

There are factors that make a car cool that do not include performance, price tag, baller factor, etc.

The G35 is in 2nd place. What is new or exciting about it that warrants a car of the year? Revived hype and fanboyism?

Hmm, lets see, it offers performance better than IS350 and BMW 330, has interior on par with IS350, and all that for $10K+ less.

And Honda Fit? Gee, if it wasnt a Honda board, the Fit would receive as many votes as the Nissan Versa.

I'm with RB and Llamaguy on this one. I don't see anything positive about the fit. And I am almost certain that a Honda dominated forum will choose it as the car of the year.

How do you compare all these economical, bubble-butt station wagon's with luxury sedans, even if they are base models? Seeing as how the fit qualifies, even though it has been around for a while as a jazz, I think the TL type S should be in too.
