I see I'm the first to vote for the Altima, and after doing so I see the Fit seems to be the runnaway favorite. I wonder why :hsdunno:

I see the Altima as a true power player against the Accord and Camry for the first time. I checked one out at my local Nissan dealer (didn't drive it, but sat inside and touched everything).

The engine and drivetrain is already strong, but the thing that was always the knock against the Altima was the interior design. Well, let me tell you..... they fixed it. And in a big way. The interior is very, very nice. High quality materials. Great looking instrument cluster. And keyless ignition is standard on all models.

I'd say it the most significant model for '07.

True, and Camry wins MT's Car of the Year? The Camry is an okay car but I like the Altima. The Altima has good pricing and I would buy it because of the keyless ignition. Camry should have it at least optional instead of offered in XLE V6 or Hybrid.

Honda Fit is a class leading car. It is very roomy, offers a great engine combined with good pricing, good MPG. Its no wonder why it sells so well. The Honda Fit offers high quality features and features we see on premium cars.

The only problem with the Yaris is the center mount gauge and quality of the interior. It would be a winner if it had better quality and standard allow wheels, airbags, abs and a lower price.

Nissan Versa is a good alternative, but Honda Fit looks nicer.

voted, my heart still lies with the 2007 TL type-S, but as MFB explained its not major remodeling, then i would have gone with the G35, but being realistic I would really never own an infiniti. so i went with the Lexus ES 350!

MazdaSpeed 3 has it for me. Affordable for me and great bang for the buck. It has one of the better interiors that I've sat in. I hasnt driven it yet, but if it can out-perform my Integra, I am getting one. :reechy:

Infiniti G35.

As much as I wanted to vote for the Mazdaspeed3 or the Honda Fit, I just couldn't. MS3 is just the already awesome Mazda3 with a new powertrain. And really... as awesome as the Honda Fit is, it's still a warmed over 5 year old car. That it's still great is more a testament to how well it was engineered 5 years ago.

Knowing that this is a Honda board, the Fit is probably going to win - as usual a Honda vehicle always wins this comparo. But in reality, I believe the new G35 deserves to win, its a vast improvement over old generation, in many ways superior to IS350 and 3 series, and leaps ahead of C class, while carrying a much lower price tag.
