Default 2008 Mercedes-Benz C-Class (W204) mostly undisguised spy photo

http://www.worldcarfans.com/spyphoto...lass-uncovered (linked because of re-posting copyright)

Pre-production of the next generation Mercedes C-Class is under way in Daimler-Chrysler’s Bremen plant. The sedan is the first to be released at the 2007 Geneva Motor Show. Then the station wagon will follow about half a year later in fall 2007. Altogether it will be a completely new model range offering standard RWD and AWD as an option. Code-named W 204, the C Class will be available in four different styles, as sedan, station wagon, sports coupe and convertible. Power will come again from a variety of four- and newly developed six- cylinder engines. A sporty AMG version is in the pipeline, too. These latest photos are showing a red sedan prototype with only a few strips of black camouflage tape removed by image editing.

Does anyone else see a Chrysler Sebring with a Benz grille tacked on?

The headlights look like a Hyundai. Perhaps not the best styling target for Mercedes.

Pretty ugly... I don't really like any of the MB's new designs, they are too bling bling and flashy. In fact, the only current MB that I like is the SL.

Well, technically MB and Dodge (Chrysler) are the same company, so, yeah.

Default too bad

very unfortunate direction they are headed towards in my book... the look suits a dodge but not mercedes, but thats my opinion, I am sure there are plenty of people that'll dig the new look. Good for BMW I guess.

Dude...whats up with that huge squarish SUV hood and grill?!? The belt line should be raised a bit too IMHO.

Ah, er--no thanks.

That strange-looking and oversized front grille really detracts from the design of the car--it looks like they tried to tack on the grille from the current GL-series or M-series SUV.
