2008 Mercedes-Benz C-Class (W204) mostly undisguised spy photo

Pre-production of the next generation Mercedes C-Class is under way in Daimler-Chrysler’s Bremen plant. The sedan is the first to be released at the 2007 Geneva Motor Show. Then the station wagon will follow about half a year later in fall 2007. Altogether it will be a completely new model range offering standard RWD and AWD as an option. Code-named W 204, the C Class will be available in four different styles, as sedan, station wagon, sports coupe and convertible. Power will come again from a variety of four- and newly developed six- cylinder engines. A sporty AMG version is in the pipeline, too. These latest photos are showing a red sedan prototype with only a few strips of black camouflage tape removed by image editing.

too bad
very unfortunate direction they are headed towards in my book... the look suits a dodge but not mercedes, but thats my opinion, I am sure there are plenty of people that'll dig the new look. Good for BMW I guess.

Ah, er--no thanks.
That strange-looking and oversized front grille really detracts from the design of the car--it looks like they tried to tack on the grille from the current GL-series or M-series SUV.
