Default Toyota Loses Ground as Honda Thrives in Annual Value Survey

Honda retained its overall top ranking, taking top honors in the small-car category for the Civic and in the compact-pickup segment with the Ridgeline. Honda Motor was also named the best overall corporation. General Motors had segment leaders with the Chevrolet Corvette, Corvette convertible and Silverado. The Saturn Vue tied with the Hyundai Tucson in the small-SUV category. Survey results were released on Monday.

The Strategic Vision survey asked more than 64,000 new vehicle owners about their experiences and whether they believe they got their money's worth in the time period from October 2005 to March 2006. The study is somewhat unusual in that it includes "emotional responses" to vehicles.

What this means to you: Consumers praised Honda for its innovation in this highly regarded study, especially on products such as the Ridgeline.

Of course Honda is better than Toyota. Honda has better quality, gets better ratings and do not break down.

Toyotas have quality issues and this survey should give them the message that they have the worst quality in the auto industry and they need to stop making cars and do something that they can actually do. Honda makes many products, automotive, motorcraft and motorcycles, not to mention lawn mowers. Honda actually has experience with making engine and are actually good at making them.

Toyota, need to learn from Honda, how about Honda buys Toyota and use their facilities for Honda.

Sales for Toyota are getting weaker, only a 24% increase for Lexus for September 2006.

I experience the loss of quality in my 1996 Toyota Avalon. It already had the battery replaced, tires replaced, and in 3-4 years, the exhaust system and radiator has to replaced. Quality is down, I have to admitt.

My friend has a 2003 Acura RSX Type-S and it runs fine. It is much nicer and you get bigger bang for the money.

And I bet the oil had to be changed too, didn't it? What a POS!

You're just too comical to ban... I need a good laugh every now and then.
