How sad. He didn't get my point. For shame!

um, yeah... that means Mercedes and BMW don't have a self parking system yet. Lexus beat them to market. but it doesn't matter, because the S class and 7 series are both much more expensive than the LS. since no one can afford an LS, no one can afford either of those either.

You litterally took my point from me.

The only car from Japan that can compete with the 7, S, A8, Jag, and Maseratti Quatroporte is the Lexus LS. If you are bitching about the LS costing $70,000 that is where most of those cars start, and the Maseratti starts around $108,000.

I get it you don't like Toyota/Lexus but hating on them for stupid reasons makes you look like an Assclown.

The new LS-L looks great, for an executive luxury sedan.
One of these days, they might even outdo their 1990s SC luxury coupe.

You can spend a lot of money, but then all you get is a weird Bentley or Rolls-Royce. Maybach sales are not good, compared to DCX's expectations.

Lets get back on topic...

Self Parking System...

It is not helpful and since the Lexus doesn't park by itself, why would people wanna buy it? Its a worthless piece of technology that has no value and it doesn't even work. Look at how hard it was for those 3 guys to park. The system is too complicated and it doesn't work. There were errors and the car didn't even move at one point.

the only thing i see in that video is three idiots that didn't read the owner's manual. if you don't even know what the buttons are, you're obviously not going to be able to use the device. none of these people had any problems with it, and they weren't acting like pubescent monkeys, either:

Agreed 100%. Either those idiots in the automobile mag video were completely stupid and just got back from a weekend frat party, didn't read the owners manual, or they were being dumbasses on purpose, like typical fratboys tend to be.

I don't believe it's necessary technology, but it is intriguing technology nonetheless. For this to be in a $60k car before a Rolls, Bently, or Maybach is a nice feather in Lexus' cap.

O so was that video was set up? automobile magazine is an official magazine which has no bias so I figured it was true.

The mag has no bias. Ten bucks says that video was done in that fashion on purpose. The first thing I thought was those guys aren't being serious.

I bet dollars to donuts that had Acura implemented the self-parking feature into the RL, you'd be all over it like flies on cow sh!+.

It would depend on how much better the self parking is on the Lexus. Lexus is only the 1st Generation which is not good. Since this self-parking system doesn't work, there is no reason to buy a Lexus and I hope they understand why they are not selling too well.

Audi would probably have the best self parking system when it comes out. Lexus made the system too complicated where 3 grown men couldn't use it. Also they need to add a feature where the car will not attempt to park in impossible places and to put itself on drive itself and drive into the parking space.
