Cool, did anyone notice the gauge on the A-pillar? I wonder if it's just for testing and track purposes or if Mazda plans on including it as standard. I don't think I'm ready to part with my cord anyways.

Is it just me, or is the Subaru Legacy the only midsize Japanese car that isn't getting completely bloated these days?

While the Mazda6 as it currently is looks good and has a decent chassis, the engine is a joke, as several have pointed out. I don't see how this larger version with a 3.5L fits the "zoom-zoom" philosophy or (if they continue it in the future) their anti-Accord/Camry campaign. Maybe they are taking a "if you can't beat them, join them" approach with regard to Toyota. After all, there's nothing quite like another FWD porker to piss off enthusiasts like us.

If you don't like it, consider the Subaru Legacy. As mentioned, it's your last hope. Help us, Obi-Wan Kenobi.
