Mazda MPS 6 Concept
I know this is for now being released overseas. But it does show the potential of Mazda's tuning division forsight toward the future.
Autoexpress article:
With a turbocharged 280bhp engine and all-wheel-drive transmission, this car is certain to give added 6-appeal to Mazda's Paris Motor Show stand.
Here is the first official image of the Mazda 6 MPS, which Auto Express revealed in Issue 708. Set to rival the Subaru Impreza Turbo and Mitsubishi Evo VII, the newcomer is easily distinguishable from lesser Mazdas.
As well as the impressive power figure, the car develops 360Nm of torque and complies with stringent Euro IV exhaust emissions regulations. MPS stands for Mazda Performance Series, the company's tuning division.
Featuring a bigger front bumper and subtle rear spoiler, the 6 MPS will make its debut at the show in a fortnight's time. The front radiator grille is modelled on the unit featured on the innovative new RX-8 coupé, and filling the wheelarches are a set of 18-inch alloys shod with low-profile tyres.
Inside, the car has leather seats and a light- coloured dash. It also features keyless entry and a big red starter button. The Mazda looks set to go on sale late next year, and will cost from £25,000.

Any sort of comparisons to the new Accord are strictly up to you guys since my opinion will be an unpopular one.

I was expecting something turbo, but not 280hp and not AWD. I welcome any competition Honda gets, especially good, becuase it can only force them to make an even better product.

i dunno why people always bring up honda when they talk about awd+turbo cars.

Better looking than the Accord? You betcha. Better quality? No. Better interior? No. Faster? No. Better reliability? no. Nicer styled interior? No.
