u know what would be realy reallllly awesome......
if they gave us a type R with 300hp and awd but the same styling as the si coupe (i really like it)
or just the 197 with awd atleast awd as an option :dunno:
either way it looks sweet

if anyone gets an AWD civic, it won't be the US. while i really doubt there'll be one any time soon, it's possible. since the CRV is based on the civic platform, someone took a CRV AWD drivetrain and stuck it on an integra, then just didn't connect the front wheels so they could have a RWD integra. was that spoon? anyways, its possible, but still unlikely. i don't think they'd let the civic have AWD until the rest of the acura lineup does...
If that new 2.2-liter I-4 "K22" engine has the same horsepower as the K20Z3 but with a broader torque band, that engine could be a candidate for the Civic Si sedan coming late in 2006.
It would certainly be more desireable for American drivers, since you won't need to rev the engine so high to get decent performance like you have to do with K20Z3 on the Civic Si coupé. It might even make it possible for the installation of a beefed-up version of the Civic's five-speed automatic on the Si sedan, too.
