Well, there's not much more to say that hasn't been already said about the excellent new 997 Carrera. Except this one was spied with a strange roof. Oh my, now would that be the new Targa top? Well twist my arm and call me Larry - yes it's the new 911 Carrera Targa being tested somewhere in Germany. The giveaway is the rear window and the rear corner of the quarter panel glass. Since the appearance of the new 911 is no longer a secret, Porsche could have been a little more inconspicuous by installing stock silver wheels instead of the obvious black "look at me I'm a testing mule" wheels to catch the eye of the spy photographer. Oh well, feast your eyes for all of you Targa fans out there.

Just so yall know what to look for in the pics, the Targa has rear quarter windows that come to a point instead of a curve like other 911 variants. You can see this below some vinyl cladding. Also the roof panel is all glass, covered by vinyl as well.
