Honda is kicking V6 asses as well with their 300HP RL (until Lexus GS shows up with the same HP AWD right after RL). Honda is good at making HP out of same size engines that others can't (or had to wait a bit in order to catch up).

18000 RPM :eek3: The drivers must be mad being so close to the engines.

However Honda did it, within the next 6-7 years you will probably see some version of the technology involved hit their passenger production motors.

It used to be unheard of for a 4 cylinder passenger motor to produce 200hp without the aid of some sort of forced induction, remember?

When the original NSX debuted, didn't it have "only" 260 hp? At a time when even typical V6 engines hardly produced 200 hp.

BAR is unreliable, and they have had some bad luck. No doubt they have potential however.

Renault may be down 40+ hp but their engine had gobs of torque, especially in the low ranges, which helps them out with their Top-Fuel Dragster starts
